A review analysis is an important tool for understanding customers needs and to help the company further enhance themselves. For this assignment our goal was to pick one of our companies and do a review analysis through Google Maps and Chat GPT or Leonardo.AI.

Positive Review Analysis

FIRST ANALYSIS

I found positive reviews off of Priefert platforms and I went through a distributor of Priefert Products which was Tractor Supply. I did this to get more of a well rounded product review. I then copy and pasted those reviews into Chat GPT. We were suppose to find 4 -5 star reviews off of the Google Maps when we searched the business’s name. However, I searched ‘Priefert’ in google maps and it was not giving me any ratings, which is why I used one of Priefert’s pages off their website and then Tractor Supply. When you search Priefert it takes you to their manufacturing, which is why I didn’t get ratings, many people do not go there and shop to leave reviews. Priefert does a lot of business over the phone and also sells through other businesses, such as Tractor Supply. I was able to do the 4-5 star rating reviews on Tractor Supply. Then I typed in the prompt ‘What are the customers most satisfied with based on the reviews?’ with the few reviews I found.

RESULT:

Based on these reviews, customers are most satisfied with:

Based on these reviews, here’s what customers are most satisfied with in Priefert products:

  1. Quality and Durability: Customers consistently praise the quality and durability of Priefert products, describing them as “the best and strongest,” “well painted and protected,” and “long-lasting.” This suggests that Priefert’s craftsmanship and material quality are major satisfiers.
  2. Functionality and Efficiency: Users highlight the efficiency of specific Priefert products like the Squeeze Chute and Panel Walker. The chute is noted for its design and ease of use, while the Panel Walker is celebrated for its ability to save time and effectively condition horses. These reviews emphasize the practical, time-saving benefits of Priefert’s products, which align well with customers’ daily needs.
  3. Special Features of Horse Walkers: Customers who use Priefert’s horse walkers appreciate the “maintenance-free” design and remote-control features. These elements not only add convenience but also enhance the customer experience by simplifying horse conditioning routines.
  4. Customer Service and Availability: Reviews also highlight the value customers find in purchasing Priefert products through retailers like Tractor Supply, where they benefit from good service, convenience, and competitive pricing.

Overall, Priefert customers appear very satisfied with the quality, usability, and unique features of the equipment.

SECOND ANALYSIS (further analysis – word association)

RECOMMENDATION

For the last step, I typed in the prompt ‘What would be suggestions from the findings?’

RESULT:

Based on the positive feedback and keyword analysis, here are some actionable suggestions for Priefert to further enhance customer satisfaction and appeal:

  1. Highlight Quality and Durability in Marketing
    • Since customers frequently praise Priefert’s quality and durability, emphasizing these aspects in marketing materials and product descriptions can resonate well with target buyers. Phrases like “built to last,” “strongest in the industry,” and “trusted for longevity” can reinforce Priefert’s reputation for excellence.
  2. Promote Time-Saving and Efficiency Features
    • Products like the Panel Walker and Squeeze Chute are especially valued for saving time. Marketing could showcase these efficiency aspects, especially with specific use cases (e.g., how the Panel Walker frees up time for trainers and ranchers). Creating informational videos or testimonials that show these time-saving benefits in action could be very impactful.
  3. Emphasize Maintenance-Free and Low-Hassle Design
    • The low-maintenance aspects of Priefert’s products, like the horse walker’s “maintenance-free” build, could be more prominently advertised to appeal to customers seeking hassle-free, reliable equipment. Highlighting this feature in product manuals, brochures, and online descriptions could attract time-conscious customers.
  4. Enhance Accessibility Through Retail Partnerships
    • Customers appreciate the availability of Priefert products at retailers like Tractor Supply. Strengthening these partnerships and promoting where customers can buy Priefert products conveniently could attract new buyers. Consider featuring “Find us at…” sections on the website or running co-branded promotions with key retailers.
  5. Expand on Convenience Features with New Product Enhancements
    • Based on the high value placed on convenience, Priefert could explore adding more user-friendly features, such as tool-free assembly options, enhanced portability, or even mobile app integrations for remotely controlled equipment. This approach could especially appeal to new customers looking for advanced and easy-to-use equipment.
  6. Introduce Product Add-Ons for Customization
    • While not included in the positive-focused analysis, there were a few mentions of desired additional features like a head stabilizer and brisket bar. Offering add-ons or customization options could meet these needs without redesigning entire products, giving customers more flexibility.

By capitalizing on their strengths (quality, durability, convenience) and focusing on new enhancements for convenience and customization, Priefert can continue to grow its market appeal and customer loyalty.

Negative Review Analysis

FIRST ANALYSIS

Our goal is to find negative reviews with 1-2 star ratings. Again, I wasn’t able to use Google Maps for the negative reviews, so I used Tractor Supply. I was not able to find, but more than a couple negative reviews. I looked at a couple other cites, and I was trying to use distributor stores since that is one of Priefert’s main forms of selling. With the three reviews I found, I typed the prompt, ‘What are the customers least satisfied with based on the reviews?’ with the list of negative reviews.

RESULT:

Based on the reviews, here are the areas where customers express some dissatisfaction with Priefert products:

  1. Missing Features on the Squeeze Chute
    • Some customers expressed a desire for additional features on the Squeeze Chute, specifically a head stabilizer on the head gate and a brisket bar. These added features would bring the product more in line with competitor offerings, such as those from Arrowquip, and enhance its usability.
  2. Minor Quality Issues with Gates
    • A few customers noted minor issues with Priefert gates, mentioning that some gates in stock had a slight bend. Although these issues didn’t significantly detract from the overall quality, they did impact the perceived perfection and finish of the product.
  3. General Comments on Value for Money
    • Some feedback indicates that while customers find the products to be good value for the money, they’re not necessarily “perfect.” This comment suggests that, although the products are functional and well-built, there is room for improvement to meet higher expectations.

Summary of Dissatisfaction

  • Primary Feature Requests: Head stabilizer and brisket bar for the Squeeze Chute.
  • Quality Control Concerns: Occasional bending in gates, which could be improved to ensure consistently flawless stock.
  • Perception of Perfection: Customers are generally satisfied with the value but feel there’s room for refinement to make Priefert products the absolute best in the market.

These areas present opportunities for Priefert to address specific customer needs and maintain its reputation for high quality.

SECOND ANALYSIS

Then I typed in the prompt, “Extract negative keywords from those reviews, and analyze the frequency and associations of these keywords.”

RESULT:

Here are the key negative keywords identified from the reviews, along with their frequency and associations:

Keywords and Analysis

  1. Head Stabilizer (Frequency: Medium)
    • Associations: This feature is specifically requested by customers for the Squeeze Chute, as they mention competitor brands like Arrowquip already offer it. The need for a head stabilizer suggests customers are looking for more secure handling options in livestock management.
  2. Brisket Bar (Frequency: Medium)
    • Associations: Another feature requested for the Squeeze Chute, the brisket bar is seen as an addition that could enhance the product’s functionality and meet specific livestock handling needs. This request is tied to improving comfort and safety in cattle handling.
  3. Slight Bend (Frequency: Low to Medium)
    • Associations: Mentioned in the context of gate quality, a “slight bend” indicates minor quality control issues. Customers notice these imperfections, which could affect their perception of Priefert’s quality. This term is often associated with value for money, as it implies a need for improved quality assurance.
  4. Not Perfect (Frequency: Low to Medium)
    • Associations: This phrase reflects a sense of “almost there” in terms of product quality and value. While customers generally consider Priefert products to be good, they feel there’s room for enhancement. It’s associated with both product features and build quality, hinting at expectations of Priefert as a premium brand.
  5. Complaint (Frequency: Low)
    • Associations: Used in one review mentioning a wish for additional features, “complaint” here is tied to the product’s potential for improvement rather than outright dissatisfaction. It signals that customers have specific, actionable suggestions rather than fundamental issues with the product.

Frequency Summary

  • Medium Frequency: Head stabilizer, brisket bar
  • Low to Medium Frequency: Slight bend, not perfect
  • Low Frequency: Complaint

Analysis Summary

The negative keywords suggest customers are not broadly dissatisfied but have specific improvement requests, primarily for added features on the Squeeze Chute. Minor quality issues, such as slight bending in gates, are noticed and could affect the perceived value, even though customers generally consider the products good for the price. These keywords and their associations indicate that while Priefert meets expectations for durability and quality, some customers expect refinements to make the products closer to “perfect.”

RECCOMENDATION

The prompt I typed in ‘What would be suggestions from the findings?’

Based on the negative keyword analysis, here are some targeted suggestions to address the areas of improvement noted by customers:

  1. Consider Adding a Head Stabilizer and Brisket Bar as Optional Features
    • Since customers see these features as valuable additions to the Squeeze Chute, Priefert could introduce a head stabilizer and brisket bar as optional add-ons. This would allow customers seeking enhanced functionality to customize their chute setup without requiring a complete product redesign, meeting demands for these specific features while keeping the base product accessible.
  2. Implement Additional Quality Control Checks for Gates
    • To address concerns about minor imperfections like slight bends in gates, Priefert could enhance its quality control process, especially in the final inspection stage, to ensure a more consistent, flawless appearance. Emphasizing a commitment to rigorous quality standards can help reinforce customer confidence and elevate Priefert’s reputation for perfection.
  3. Emphasize Product Customization and Options in Marketing
    • Since customers have expressed specific needs rather than general dissatisfaction, Priefert might benefit from highlighting its customization options. Marketing materials could emphasize that Priefert understands unique customer requirements and offers solutions that can be tailored to different livestock handling needs.
  4. Gather Customer Feedback for Potential New Product Versions
    • Consider conducting customer surveys or feedback sessions to gauge broader interest in features like head stabilizers, brisket bars, or other specific enhancements. If demand is significant, Priefert could consider introducing a “premium” line of chutes with these features included, directly addressing feedback and potentially expanding its market.
  5. Promote Priefert’s Commitment to Continuous Improvement
    • Addressing customer feedback as part of Priefert’s brand story can reinforce a positive perception. For example, Priefert could share information on how they’re incorporating customer feedback into product enhancements or quality processes. This approach can strengthen customer loyalty and demonstrate that Priefert values input and prioritizes product excellence.

By addressing these areas, Priefert can enhance customer satisfaction, minimize minor complaints, and position itself as a brand that prioritizes continuous improvement and customer-centric innovation.
